Puresport announces the launch of its new Pomegranate Ultra Electrolytes - the latest addition to one of the brands’ best-selling ranges, developed in partnership with Amy Hunt, one of Britain's top track athletes.
Amy didn't simply lend her name to the product either. She has been a core part of the tasting and development process from the ground up, making this one of the most genuinely athlete-driven launches in Puresport's history. "After leading the development process, I settled on pomegranate as a fun but distinctive flavour," she says. "It combines sweetness with tartness - the brightness draws you in, but that tartness really signifies recovery to me. The flavour aligns well with recovery drinks, which I personally find to be really important.”
Amy continues. "I like the physicality of pomegranate - you have to work hard to open it up. It requires patience and effort before you get to the sweetness. Visually and in terms of taste, they represent the blood, sweat and tears needed to succeed - but there is beauty in that too."
